Paolo Gaudiano came into DEI from an unusual background. With advanced degrees in aerospace engineering and neuroscience, Paolo likes to joke that he had already done rocket science and brain surgery before turning to a really complex problem: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Paolo's extensive background spanning business, technology, and academia converges to transform how people think about DEI and what they do about it, with the ultimate goal of making our society more inclusive and equitable.
As a white man, he understands that his privilege is both a weapon and a responsibility, as it gives him a unique opportunity to influence the hearts and minds of those in similarly privileged positions.

A former tenured professor turned entrepreneur, Paolo Gaudiano is Chief Scientist of Aleria, President of ARC, Adjunct at NYU Stern School of Business, and Chairman of the annual Diversity & Inclusion Research Conference.
Paolo is a regular Forbes contributor on DEI and author of the 2024 book Measuring Inclusion: Higher Profits and Happier People, Without Guesswork or Backlash. He has published dozens of academic papers and over 100 blogs in major online publications and has been recognized with numerous awards, including a Moonshot House Fellowship from the Kravis Center for Social Impact for his work on DEI.
Paolo is a sought-after speaker, having presented his work at several hundred conferences and events around the world, including two TEDx talks (in 2018 and 2023). He regularly delivers corporate presentations and leadership workshops for major international organizations.
